An ideal opportunity for individuals and companies to help support young people
In location-based mentoring, mentors travel with a group or on their own to a school or community center for one hour per week.
Once there, they work one-on-one with the same child every week – playing games, reviewing schoolwork, and most importantly listening, sharing experiences, and providing advice and guidance.
Location-based mentoring is an ideal program for companies interested in serving the community, helping young people – and even providing a meaningful “team building” experience for employees. Many metro Detroit companies – including Lear Corporation, Delta Air Lines, and Bodman Law – are participating in the program.
If you are interested in participating in a location-based program – and if you think it’s an opportunity that may interest your business – please call VIP at 313 964-1110.
